The EU and Papua New Guinea (PNG) deepened their partnership, advancing new investment projects in port and water infrastructure under the EU’s Global Gateway strategy.

On 30 June – 1 July, Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela participated in the fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, FfD4, that took place in Seville, Spain.

The Sebzor hydropower plant will improve the access to sustainable, reliable and affordable electricity for over 430,000 people in a rural region of Tajikistan and Afghanistan, reduce the risk of electricity interruptions through natural disasters, generating new jobs and income for local people.
